What it is
Each Classic Storytelling Tin is named for a value, like Gratitude or Resilience, and has its own short story printed on it. It holds 8 hand-sewn blooming tea balls plus loose tea chosen to fit the story. Drop a ball into hot water and it opens into a flower in the glass over 8 to 10 minutes. It comes in a black tin with gold accents, in a gift bag, with a card in your words.

How to brew it
  1. Drop one tea ball into a clear heat-proof glass or mug (450 to 600ml).

  3. Watch it open into a flower over 8 to 10 minutes, then drink.

Each ball can be brewed up to 2 times or more. For the loose tea: 1 teaspoon in an infuser or strainer, 250ml of water at 75 to 80°C.

A gift gets used when it gives them a reason to open it

They drop a tea ball into hot water. Each ball is sewn by hand around dried flowers, and it slowly opens into a flower in the glass, over 8 to 10 minutes. So they brew it, they watch it, and they tell you about it.

Most gifts get a thank-you and a spot in the cupboard

Hampers, vouchers, a pretty tin of tea. They're safe, so everyone sends them, and in December your client gets a lot of them. Food gets eaten, but it's gone in a bite. A tin of tea is one more box of tea with nothing to make them open it. None of them says why you sent it.

What do you want your gift to say?

Thank you for this year. Well done. You got through it.

Each of our ten tins is named for something like that, with its story printed on it. When they brew it, a flower opens in their glass.

Ten tins, ten things to say

Each Classic tin is named for a value and has its own short story, printed on the tin. The tea is chosen to fit it. Your card says the rest, in your words.

Pétale Tea
Gratitude
A journey of gratitude

Wandering the streets of Kampong Glam in Singapore, Jewel felt a wave of gratitude for the stories and traditions that had shaped her. Festive lights illuminated the vibrant heritage around her, grounding her in the strength of her roots. The Ondeh Ondeh-inspired blend of pandan black tea, mint, and shredded coconut captured her journey, a fragrant celebration of life with grace and gratitude.

From the Gratitude tin
"Wandering the streets of Kampong Glam in Singapore, Jewel felt a wave of gratitude for the stories and traditions that had shaped her."

It tastes as good as it looks

Plenty of people think blooming tea is just for looking at. The people who drink ours disagree. Every tin names its flavour, so nobody gets a surprise they didn't want.

Questions before you order

Which tin should I send a client?
For a thank-you, Gratitude says it most plainly. Elegance suits a VIP, and Celebration suits a client who had a big year. Your card says the rest.
Where is the story?
Printed on the back of every tin, so the person you give it to reads it as they unwrap it.
Will it arrive before Christmas?
Order by 18 December for Christmas. Door-to-door delivery costs S$3.90 (free from S$100) and takes 3 to 7 working days. Ordering later, or need a set day? Choose next-day or a dated delivery at checkout, from S$18 (up to S$30 close to Christmas). We deliver in Singapore only. All delivery options
Can I send each tin to a different client?
Yes. Order each tin as a single gift and check out with that person's address, one order per address. Each order is delivered on its own (S$3.90, or free from S$100).
What if they don't drink tea?
The flower opens before anyone takes a sip, so the gift lands either way. Some people who don't drink tea end up liking it: "I'm normally not a tea person, however things change after I tried petale tea." (Eliseus Goh, Google review). If they don't love the flavour, Rosemary sends them another one, free.
Do they need a teapot?
No. Any clear heat-proof glass or mug of 450 to 600ml works. The loose tea needs a strainer; orders of three gifts or more come with a gold tea infuser.
What if a ball doesn't open?
Use water just off the boil, 90 to 95°C, and give it 8 to 10 minutes. If it still won't open, send Rosemary a photo on WhatsApp and she'll replace it.
Does it contain caffeine?
Most Classic tins do, because they're made with black, green, white, oolong or pu-erh tea. Empowerment and Wish are caffeine-free. The Petite tins all contain caffeine.
How long does it keep?
Unopened, until the best-before date on the tin: the current Classic tins are good until 30 December 2029. Store it somewhere cool and dry, out of the sun. Once opened, keep the tin tightly closed and in the fridge.
